MECHANIC FALLS — The 122nd annual camp meeting opens Saturday evening, July 9, at the Advent Christian Camp on Route 121. All are welcome free of charge.

The nine-day run includes:

* Nightly and Sunday morning worship services featuring speaker, the Rev. Roger Brown of Meredith, N.H., on the theme “H2O: His2Own.” Music leaders are Heath and Karole-Ann Keniston of Oxford. Services nightly at 7 p.m.; Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

* Daily Vacation Bible School for youths weekdays 9:30 to 11:45 a.m.

* Bible study led by David Young of Oxford weekdays 9:45 to 11:45 a.m.

* Missions Day, July 14  at 2 p.m. with speaker Kurt Holmgren of the Root Cellar in Portland.

* Baptism service July 17 at 2 p.m.

* Activities such as swimming, volleyball, basketball, softball, tether ball, lawn games, children’s playground and socializing on the 12-acre grounds.

* Teen Camp for ages 13-18 from July 10-18.  Cost $230 (scholarships available). Registration 3 p.m. Info: ballen2@maine.rr.com.

* Breakfast, lunch and supper served in the air-conditioned dining hall. Donations accepted toward cost.

* Camping at designated sites.

The Advent Christian Camp Meeting Association of Mechanic Falls was established in 1889 by area Advent Christian churches to provide a time of spiritual, physical and emotional rest and refreshment, teach from the Bible and preach its message of forgiveness of sins and eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ and his second coming. The association also operates summer youth camps for ages 9 to 18 and an overnight camp for ages 7 and 8, which are open to all.
