FARMINGTON — Members of the Henderson Memorial Baptist Church will give away free hot dogs and lemonade after the Fourth of July parade. Donations will be accepted for the Franklin County Ecumenical Heating Fund; 100% of the contributions will go to support the ECU HEAT ministry.

ECU HEAT is an outreach ministry of the Farmington Area Ecumenical Ministry, serving any Franklin County neighbors who need fuel assistance. Last winter ECU HEAT provided 50-gallon emergency fuel deliveries to 301 households throughout Franklin County, at a total cost of $46,281.12.

Currently the Ecu Heat Fund is being built up again for the coming winter and hopes to reach $20,000 before Nov. 1. Gifts by check are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged. Those who wish to mail a donation may send it to ECU HEAT, P.O. Box 147, Farmington, ME 04938. Cash donations will be received at the hot dog tables after the parade for all who wish to help. Henderson Memorial Baptist Church is located on the corner of Main and Academy streets.
