FARMINGTON — The Farmington area will have major changes to two schools beginning in the fall. Waiting for faculty at the brand new Mallett School will be WA Mitchell tables and chairs. WA Mitchell chairs will also be found in the renovated Rainbow Café at Foster Tech Center on the Mt. Blue High School campus.

Pauline Rodrigue is the incoming president of the Farmington Rotary Club. She also serves as the School Administrative District volunteer coordinator. In this capacity, she has seized the opportunity to kick off her year, which starts July 1, with a fundraising project to benefit both schools.

Interested individuals have an opportunity to honor a loved one, teacher, administrator, family member or alumni with a commemorative chair. A $100 donation will entitle the donor to designate a chair in someone’s name. An additional $25 will allow a logo to be engraved on the front of the chair.

Funds raised by the sale of naming rights to the Mallett School chairs will be donated to the Mallett School landscaping project. The high school chair proceeds will go to the Mt. Blue High School’s Interact Club’s local community service projects.

WA Mitchell Fine Furniture is a locally based manufacturer with distribution throughout the United States. Due to the short lead time and limited number of chairs, they have agreed to be the contact for accepting chair engraving requests and will answer any questions. They can be reached at 778-5212 or by email at mitchellchairs1@myfairpoint.net.
