PORTLAND — An Oxford man who admitted growing marijuana in a section of the White Mountain National Forest will spend two months in federal prison.

Todd E. Clukey, 38, also was sentenced in U.S. District Court to four months of home confinement. He was ordered to stay out of the federally owned park for three years.

According to court records, between May and September 2010, Clukey grew pot in an unorganized portion of Oxford County that includes the White Mountain National Forest.

Prosecutors said in an interview conducted after Clukey’s arrest in September that he admitted he had also grown marijuana on national forest land the previous two years.

In February, he pleaded guilty to the charge. The case against him was investigated by the National Forest Service and the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department.
