NORWAY — The Norway Memorial Library will host the University of New Hampshire’s Little Red Wagon professional children’s theater troupe at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the Guy E. Rowe School cafetorium for a performance of “Strega Nona.” “Strega Nona” is a charming musical adaption of Tomie dePaola’s 1976 Caldecott Honor book.
The performance will be the featured entertainment at the summer reading program kickoff. Registration will take place from noon to 1 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. at the cafetorium. Families will be able to register for other summer activities at the same time such as the Norway swim program and look program. This year’s summer reading theme is “One World, Many Stories.” The library will be highlighting countries around the world through activities, book clubs and displays.
The theatre troupe performs for children and family audiences. The Little Red Wagon is the longest running nonprofit theater tour in the U.S. and performs at nearly 70 locations in New England each summer.
