Workshops beneficial to Realtors are being presented by the Maine Forest Service, Department of Conservation, and Androscoggin Valley Soil & Water Conservation District.

Tree Growth Tax Law, Liquidation Harvesting and the Forest Practices Act can all have significant financial impacts on real estate transactions in Maine. This course will provide background information about forestry in Maine, a basic understanding of all three laws, and detailed information on how these laws can potentially affect real estate transactions.

The course is approved by the Maine Real Estate Commission for three credit hours of continuing education. The same workshop is being offered at two sites:

* Bath City Hall, 55 Front St., Bath, Monday, June 13, from 1 to 4 p.m.

* Auburn City Hall, City Council Chamber, 60 Court St, Auburn, Tuesday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to noon. Please park on the fourth or fifth floor of the parking garage, the room is on the second floor.
