LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library has announced the following raffle winners. First prize, Red Sox tickets: Kevin William; second prize, Sea Dog tickets: Karen Jordan; third prize, baseball basket of goodies: Linda Brundage; and fourth prize, basket of chocolate items: Doreen Bellmore.
The Golden Friendship Club, which met Wednesdays from 2 to 6 p.m., is canceled until further notice.
The Crafter’s Showcase, held on the second Saturday of the month, will be on hiatus until September. It will start again in time for crafting for the holiday season.
Elsie’s Re-Read Used Book Emporium is ready for business. The only regular hours for now are Fridays from 2:30 to 5 p.m. However, employees at the Circulation Desk can provide access anytime during library hours. Donations of items to sell are being accepted.
The Summer Reading Program for 2011 is “Read S’more Books,” with a camping theme. Registration for the eight-week program starts Tuesday, June 14, and runs until June 25. There will be Reading Camp every Thursday at 6 p.m., starting June 23. There will be contests and special events.
The Book Lovers Café meets the second Monday of the month at 6 p.m.
The Knit/Crochet Group still does not have an official group name. Some suggestions have been Stitch In Time, Stitch’n’ Time, Yarn’s Tail, Yarn’s Tale, A Good Yarn and The Knit/Crochet Hour. Participants in this group are welcome to come in any Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. and knit/crochet. Teachers will only be available on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
