CASCO — Point Sebago is working with the American Legion Post #155 to host the first New England Paralyzed Veterans of America Bass Tournament on Saturday, May 21. Point Sebago also will be donating a barbecue lunch for tournament participants. This lunch, in combination with the breakfast being donated by the American Legion Post #155, will leave the veterans and event volunteers well-fed before and after the tournament.
Having hosted dozens of fishing tournaments, Point Sebago has proven to be an ideal location for such events. With onsite boat launches, powered boat slips and access to 35 square miles of Sebago Lake, Point Sebago knows a thing or two about fishing tournaments.
This one-day tournament is a part of the NEPVA Bass Trail which consists of multiple one-day tournaments throughout New England. NEPVA is the New England chapter of the national Paralyzed Veterans of America, a group founded in 1946 to promote medical research for and generally improve the lives of paralyzed veterans.
Point Sebago has a history of being a favorite vacation destination for service men and women and their families and offers a discount of 15% to any active or retired military personnel.
