PARIS — The town will hold a public hearing to take questions on four ordinances up for a vote in June.

At 6:30 p.m. Monday, residents can ask questions and comment on proposed changes to the town’s curfew and site plan ordinances, as well as proposed sign and medical marijuana dispensary ordinances.

Last July, the town voted to put a moratorium on development of medical marijuana dispensaries to allow time to write an ordinance. The Planning Board recently submitted the proposed ordinance, which was approved by selectmen.

Residents will be asked to vote on the four ordinances at the town meeting election in June.

Selectmen will also discuss a request by John Goodwin of the X-tra Mile ATV Club to allow ATV use on Parsons and East Oxford roads. A landowner is allowing use of an off-road section that will reduce the distance traveled on a public way.

A representative from Central Maine Power will be on hand at Monday’s meeting to discuss the company’s new Smart Meters.

The new Smart Meters, which use radio signals to transmit electricity use to CMP, have been controversial. Representative Suzanne Bussiere has been speaking in local towns to explain how the new meters will be different for customers.

Also up for discussion are accepting a bid for mowing in Moore Park and the baseball field, an update on animal control now that Allen Hill Animal Shelter has closed and year-end budget estimates.

The public hearing begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. The Board of Selectmen meeting begins at 7 p.m.
