LEWISTON — WMCA Health Services of Western Maine Community Action will hold a free screening day and women’s health fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, as part of National Women’s Health Week. All are welcome to attend.

Women 40 years and older who haven’t had an annual physical in over a year (or perhaps many years) will receive a Pap test, breast exam, blood pressure screening. The tests are free, regardless of whether the individual has insurance.

Kathy Coleman, nurse practitioner with WMCA Health Services, encourages all women to consider signing up for this free health screening. “With summer coming, many women are thinking about how to be more active and stay healthy. Women’s Health Week is our chance to offer additional support for women who want to maintain good health throughout their lives,” she said.

In addition to the free screenings, WMCA Health Services will simultaneously host a Women’s Health Fair with give-a-ways, chair massages, sun safety screenings, healthy snacks and a wide-range of women’s health information in its Lewiston location, 179 Lisbon St., at Centerville Plaza.Street parking is available, as well as garage parking on Canal Street.
