FARMINGTON — Travis Robbins of Wilton is SugarWood Gallery’s featured artist of the month. An open house reception will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 6, at the gallery at 248 Broadway.

Born in Farmington in 1981, Robbins’ love of art began in the early 1990s when he began drawing his own comics. Since then, he has done simple pencil drawings, pen-and-ink works, some photography, glass engraving and painting.

He is the author of “The Dreamlife of Death” as well as “Creations,” volumes 1 & 2, which feature his cover art. His art has also been used in the computer games “The Globular Rescue” and “3D Brick Imploder,” as well as on concert flyers for local bands.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
