LIVERMORE FALLS —Treat Memorial Library is raising funds for a matching grant for children’s books. Raffles tickets are being sold for Red Sox tickets, Sea Dog tickets, a basket of baseball goodies and a massive basket of chocolate and chocolate-related items, currently on display at the library. The drawing will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, May 27. Winners need not be present at the drawing. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5 and are available at the library.
The library will be facing road construction soon. There is no legal parking in front of the library, on the street. Visitors should park behind the library. Patrons with difficulty with stairs or walking uphill should call the library at 897-3631 to arrange accommodation.
The library has begun offering board games for use in the library. There is a loose-leaf binder containing a list of available games and game instructions. Ask for your selected game at the circulation desk.
The next Crafter’s Showcase will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 14. All ages and skill levels are welcome to make items out of Shrinky-Dink plastic.
The first meeting of the knit and crochet group was a success. The perfect name for this group is still being sought. The next meeting will be on the fourth Tuesday of the month, May 24. This is a change from the original plan to have it on the third Tuesday. Teachers and materials are available for those who wish to learn.
