LIVERMORE — The Jay Livermore Falls Seniors met on April 25 at Murray Hall with 24 members and guest Jolene Pratt present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture presided over the meeting. She announced that Shirley Toncer is still on the sick list but she is doing better.
The schedule for the month of May includes a Chinese Auction on the May 9, a regular meeting May 16, and on May 23 will be the last meeting before summer vacation, until Sept. 12 . At the May 9 meeting, rootbeer floats will be served, and a finger food lunch will be served at the May 23 meeting.
At the April meeting, George Doiron sang “Happy Birthday” to all the members celebrating a birthday during the month of April, which included Doris Simoneau, Gloria Delessandro, Dora Slovak, Frances Therrien, Marie Gagnon and Al Knowlton. Aurelien Couture won the 50/50. Door prizes donated by Athanase Couture and Nancy Couture were won by Blanche Bilodeau and Elvina Miller. Following the meeting refreshments brought by Carole Redman and Carmen Moreau were served.
