WILTON — A man who police say barricaded himself in his home March 31 after a domestic complaint and surrendered hours later, has been charged in the case, police said.
Nathanael Couture, 24, was arrested Friday on a warrant by Jay police on charges of criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and threatening display of a weapon, Wilton Sgt. Richard Billian Jr. said Tuesday.
Wilton police responded to a domestic complaint at a home on High Street late on March 31. Police separated a couple at the home and the man, armed with a gun, refused to surrender and barricaded himself in the home.
The man eventually gave up and was taken into custody and was to undergo an evaluation.
Couture was released from the Franklin County jail after Friday’s arrest on $3,000 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in a Farmington court on April 21.
