TURNER — Maine native singer-songwriter and indie recording artist Mary Murphy will perform Saturday, April 2, in the upstairs at Turner Center Church.

Murphy’s vocal and piano stylings include originals and covers that cross many genres, including blues, jazz standards and classic country.

She has won numerous awards for performance and songwriting from the North American Country Music Associations International in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.. Most recently, she returned from Pigeon Forge with a NACMAI songwriting award for her new original gospel song, “Into The Darkness No More,” which is on her CD, “God’s Love.”

The 6:30 p.m. concert will launch the first of three “Cabin Fever Concerts” planned to help raise money for church maintenance.

Following her concert, Murphy will host an open mic/jam session. Homemade desserts, coffee and tea will be sold. Donations will be accepted at the door.
