FARMINGTON — A judge set bail Friday for a woman charged in the robbery of the Big Apple store on Farmington Falls Road on Dec. 21.
Marcia Tracy, 27, of Strong, who is charged with felony robbery, had bail set at $1,000 unsecured and a pre-trial supervision contract.
She was arrested March 3 by Farmington police Detective Marc Bowering. She was out on $200 cash bail when she was arrested March 14 by Maine State Police on charges of possessing a scheduled drug, hydrocodone, and violating a condition of release, according to a Franklin County jail arrest log.
She appeared in court Friday on a motion by the state to revoke bail, but state and defense attorneys reached an agreement on the bail recommendation. Upon her release from Franklin County jail, she will be living with relatives in New Sharon, Assistant District Attorney Andrew Robinson said. She must not possess or use illegal drugs or alcohol and will be subject to random search. She is also not allowed to possess any dangerous weapon and is banned from going to any Big Apple.
Tracy is scheduled to appear in court on May 20.
The robbery case is expected to go to the grand jury in May.
According to Bowering’s affidavit, a male entered the Big Apple store at about 5:52 p.m. and robbed the store while wielding a small bat with a chain attached. He ran out of the store with money and two cartons of cigarettes.
An unknown person called the Farmington Police Department the next day to say he had heard that a Marcia Tracy had picked up the robbery suspect in a white Jeep, the affidavit states. A Department of Motor Vehicle check on vehicles registered to Tracy showed she owns a 2001 white Jeep, Bowering wrote.
No one else has been charged in the heist.
