TURNER — MSAD #52 Adult and Community Education will hold special Saturday classes on March 19.
Introduction to Map and Compass: Learn how to correctly use a compass. Knowledge and land navigation skills is important for travelers in the woods. Orienteering and use of topographic maps will be covered. The class runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Take this class alone or combine it with the Into to GPS/Geocaching class. The fee is $50 for one or $80 for both. Ronald St. Saviour will be the instructor.
Intro to GPS/Geocaching: Learn the basics of how to operate a GPS unit and how to navigate using GPS. Participants will also have the chance to do some geocaching. The class runs from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Take this class alone or combine it with the Map and Compass class. The fee is $50 for one or $80 for both. Ronald St. Saviour will be the instructor.
Notary Public Training: Subjects include qualification, procedures, power and duties, history and legislation as well as weddings. State exam will be provided and taken during the class. The class runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $37. Joyce Pratt will be the instructor.
