WILTON — Police are investigating the theft of a shotgun from a car parked in a driveway off Village View Street, police Chief Dennis Brown said Monday.
The owner of the car went to go to work on Saturday at about 6 a.m. and noticed items in the Pontiac Sunfire were disturbed, he said. The victim reported the break-in to police, Brown said. It occurred between 2 a.m. on Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday, he said.
A Charles Bailey youth model 20-gauge shotgun, which has a camouflage design and a black stock, was stolen, he said. The owner said the gun was valued at $219.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Wilton police at 645-3876.
