FARMINGTON — Local Girl Scout Troop 1012 hosted a Victorian Tea Etiquette Party at the Company Restaurant recently.
The girls made pearl necklaces in honor of Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouts in 1912. In 1914, Low sold her pearl necklace to fund the Girl Scout movement across the United States. Low held tea parties with her first troop to encourage girls to attend from miles away.
The new restaurant is located at 103 Narrow Gauge Square. Donna Keaten, manager, helped the girls achieve an etiquette patch. The Girl Scouts sampled tea from the variety the restaurant offers along with treats.
