FARMINGTON — The Prescriptions for Health topic on Monday, March 14, will be female urinary incontinence featuring Dr. Susan Kearing.

Registration is under way for the presentation that will take place from 6 to 7:15 p.m. in the Chisholm Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

Kearing, who is affiliated with Franklin Health Women’s Care, will discuss causes and treatments of female urinary incontinence.

“Urinary incontinence is a common and distressing problem for women of all ages. Most causes of incontinence are treatable with lifestyle changes, exercise, medication or surgery. The key to proper treatment is proper diagnosis of the type of incontinence,” said Kearing. “My talk will cover the common forms of female urinary incontinence, assessments for this condition and the various treatment options available.”

Prescriptions for Health is a health education series that features local physicians who present on a variety of health and wellness topics. The free series is open to the public.
