Lewiston officer Tim Darnell directs traffic around an accident at the corner of East Avenue and Webster Street in Lewiston just before Lewiston High School students were released at 2 p.m. Tuesday. No one was injured when a Downeast oil truck ran over a large equipment trailer being towed by a pickup truck that had run a red light, Lt. Mark Watson said. Ace Towing was called to lift the truck off the trailer and traffic was diverted for about an hour. The pickup sustained very little damage, Watson said. He was not able to identify the drivers Tuesday evening.
