PHILLIPS — Everybody is invited to a State of the Union Democracy and Dessert party, beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25,  in the Shadagee Community Center, 5 Shadagee Lane. The group will later watch President Barrack Obama’s State of the Union Address to Congress.

Free desserts will be furnished by the Franklin County EDGe (Economic Development Groupe).

The theme is that of a fun gathering to celebrate that all are neighbors and friends first and foremost, who can coexist agreeably even if disagreeing politically.

The party is sponsored by the Franklin County EDGe, and the Phillips Democratic Party.
