FARMINGTON — Comedians, actors, singers and musicians from the Farmington area will come together for “Serious Fun II: An Evening of Comedy & Music to Warm Our Neighbors” on Saturday, Jan. 29.
The evening of laughter and song will benefit local families needing assistance with energy/fuel expenses.
Performers in the all-ages event are from Mt. Blue High School, Mt. Blue Middle School, the University of Maine at Farmington and the western Maine community. Groups scheduled to appear include the Mt. Blue Middle School Show Choir and the Mt. Blue Curtain Raisers improv comedy troupe. Joining the school-based acts will be improv comics Teachers Lounge Mafia and UMF’s Lawn Chair Pirates.
Last year’s “Serious Fun” event raised money for Haitian earthquake relief.
The fundraiser will begin at 7 p.m. in the Mt. Blue High School auditorium. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is whatever attendees wish to donate. For more information, call Dan Ryder at Mt Blue High School, 778-3561, or e-mail dryder@mbrsd.org.
