MONMOUTH — Monmouth Community Players will present Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore’s funny sex farce “Infidelities!” later this month at Cumston Hall.
Van Zandt and Milmore are well-known playwrights, co-authoring many other comedies including “Love, Sex, and the I.R.S.” and “Till Death Do Us Part.”
“Infidelities!” revolves around the life and undoing of Harold Stang (played by Mel Morrison), a playwright obsessed with sex, Charlie Chaplin and pastrami sandwiches. The show is based on his meeting the object of his desires, Kelly Carroll (Emma Davis), an aspiring actress.
Throughout the production, their love story is shared through a series of flashbacks, fantasy scenes and monologues performed by many actors in as many as 36 roles. Filling these roles are Jim Lattin as Alex, Ron Veno as Chip, Anna Doyle, Cassidy Small, Heidi Holst, Kerstin Schkrioba, Matt Blais and Patty Vieta.
Music will be performed by Charlee Black and friends.
Mike Clements and Jodi Harvey are directing the production, with Josie French and Rich Howard, co-producers; Karen Dolley LaPlante, costumes; Linda Duarte, stage manager; Jake Junkins, sound engineer and Jen Schultz, box office.
Show dates are Jan. 21-23 and Jan. 28-30.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors. The show contains some adult content and is suggested for audience members at least 15 years old. For tickets or more information, call 933-2229.
