Coach: Ryan Laroche (seventh year)

Last year’s record: Ninth in Class A, second in KVAC

Returning letter winners: Seniors — Faisal Noor (distance), Hussein Mohamed (distance), Cody Meserve (throws), Ryan Farrisey (sprints), Take Ranucci (sprints, jumps), Michael Lucas (sprints, hurdles); Sophomore — Connor Harris (sprints, jumps).

Key losses — Sadam Abdi (distance), Jeremy Theriault (distance).

Promising newcomers: Junior — Darnell Hairston (hurdles, sprints); Freshmen — Dann Williams (throws), Brady Pleau (throws).

Outlook: The Red Eddies have finished second in the KVAC every year during Laroche’s tenure, but he thinks he may have his first championship team this year. The senior core is strong. Each was seeded in the top eight in at least one event last year. They should be particularly deep in the distances, sprints and jumps.

Coach’s comment: “This is definitely one of the strongest groups we’ve had in a long time. I think these guys could be a top two or three team at the state meet.” — Coach Ryan Laroche
