LEWISTON — Sophie Goulet lit up the scoreboard with five goals and added three assists to spark unbeaten St. Dom’s to a 12-4 victory over Yarmouth on Wednesday.
The Saints jumped out to a 6-1 advantage after the first period and coasted the rest of the way.
Goulet launched the Saints with an unassisted goal two minutes into the game and a second one at 3:17 on an assist from Lydia Martin. Following unassisted goals by Marisa Zamrock and Jenna Fongemie, Yarmouth finally got on the board on the first of three Arie Potter goals. Goulet and Lauren Ratsep completed the scoring in the opening stanza.
Ratsep finished with four goals. Also scoring a goal was Emily Poulin.
EL/Leavitt 1, Brunswick 1
AUBURN — Taylor Landry’s goal early in the second period earned the Edward Little/Leavitt’s co-op girls’ hockey team a 1-1 tie with Brunswick.
Sarah Thibeault scored for the Dragons in the first period. The Red Hornets answered on Landry’s unassisted goal at 2:34 of the second.
Brianna Stanley made 16 saves for the Red Hornets (2-0-1). Erin Gay made 27 saves for the Dragons.
Hebron 5, Pingree 0
SOUTH HAMILTON, Mass. — Talya Bent scored two goals to lift Hebron to a 5-0 triumph over Pingree School on Wednesday.
After Jackie Aaskov scored the only goal of the first period, a three-goal outburst by Talya Bent, Sara Grover and Chelsea Boucher broke the game open in the second period.
Mariah Moser had 29 saves for the Lumberjacks, while Elizabeth Smith was credited with 45 saves for Pingree.
