POLAND — Three people were injured, one critically, after a head-on accident on Route 121 at about 2 p.m. Thursday.
Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene, then called in Maine State Police for help with accident reconstruction.
A white SUV collided with a silver sedan on clear roads. The driver and passenger from the sedan were taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston for evaluation along with the driver of the SUV, Capt. Ray Lafrance said.
Rescue workers used extrication tools to cut the roof and doors off of the sedan, he said.
