NORTH WATERFORD — The North Waterford Church UCC will welcome the Rev. Doretta M. Colburn as the new pastor on Sunday, Nov. 28.

Colburn has been ordained in the United Church of Christ, serving for 16 years in the Mystic, North and Mohegan churches in Connecticut.

She graduated from Rowan University in New Jersey and received her Masters of Divinity from Yale Divinity School. She has expertise in church growth and leadership, serving as keynote speaker and workshop leader at church conferences. She is the author of “Return to the Fountain: A Journey of Discovery.”

Colburn resides in North Waterford with her husband, Ted, where they run the Beech Hill Farm Bison Ranch on the Hersey farm, which has been in Ted’s family since the 1890s.

Colburn replaces the Rev. George Frobig, who retired in June after serving the North Waterford Church for 10 years.

All are welcome at the 10 a.m. Sunday service.
