AUBURN — The winner in the race for Androscoggin County Register of Probate was too close to call at midnight.

With nine of the county’s 14 municipalities reporting — challenger Wendy Sanborn, a Republican, had 15,638 votes. Incumbent Democrat Joshua Klein-Golden trailed with 13,030 votes.
