JAY — Identity theft will be the program topic at the Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting on Friday, Nov. 5, at LaFleur’s Restaurant.

The public is welcome to join the Chamber members for 7 to 9 a.m. meeting. To reserve a spot, call the Chamber office by Thursday morning at 897-6755.

The presenter will be Andrew Grover, vice president of Risk Management, Secrecy Act Officer and chairman of the Information Security Committee at Androscoggin Bank.

Grover specializes in risk analysis, fraud investigations, and suspicious activity reporting. Prior to joining Androscoggin Bank, he was auditing manager for accounting and business consulting firm, Macdonald, Page & Co. LLC. 

He is an active member of the American Institution of Certified Public Accountants, The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Information Systems Auditing Control Association.

He is also a member on Leadership Board of the American Lung Association of New England. Grover will be speaking  on online banking security best practices for small businesses — key logging access; physical, network, Internet and e-mail security; insurance; internal procedures and multifactor authentication. 

As member in the spotlight, Carrie Castonguay of the SAD 52 and RSU 36 Jay Adult Education Program, will be updating the Chamber on the Work Ready Program. Do you need employees who can come to work on time, come to work on a regular basis, work as part of a team, and manage conflict? The Work Ready Program may be for you. It addresses these “soft skills,” and more, that employees need to be successful in the workplace. 

The members will be introduced to the plan for a Memorial for Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Firefighters, Law Enforcement & EMS Personnel. Jim Leclerc, representing the Livermore Falls Fire Department, will be making the presentation.
