FARMINGTON — The Healthy Community Coalition will host the following breast cancer awareness events: from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Farmington Save-A-Lot; from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Eustis Community Building; and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at the Phillips Camden National Bank.

HCC staff will be available to schedule mammograms and physicals for women as well as enroll them in free programs that cover the cost of mammograms and physicals. Individual counseling regarding cancer screenings and free blood pressure screenings will also be available.

Treasures will be offered to those women who schedule a mammogram appointment and women who are up to date on their mammograms. Treasures include women’s jewelry, sneakers, sports apparel and much more.

The events are made possible through donations from community members, the Avon Breast Health Outreach Program, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Maine Cancer Foundation.
