LIVERMORE FALLS — Police arrested a Park Street woman after a man said she stabbed him with a knife, Livermore Falls police Lt. Thomas Gould said.

Jenessa McGinley, 19, was arrested on Thursday on charges of domestic violence assault and reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, Gould said.

Officers Stephen Gould and Stephen Allen were called in early to deal with the situation, as both Lt. Thomas Gould and Chief Ernest Steward Jr. were returning from a medical transport to a Lewiston hospital, where that person was uncooperative, so they could not get to the scene immediately, Lt. Gould said.

When the officers arrived, they located a man who told them McGinley had argued with him and stabbed him with a knife, Gould said.

“The male’s shirt had slice and stab wounds in it but the male was unharmed,” Gould said.

Officers located the weapon used in the attack inside the residence with McGinley, he said.

She was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn and was later released on $560 cash bail, he said.

McGinley is scheduled to appear on Oct. 28 at Androscoggin County Superior Court in Auburn,
