LIVERMORE FALLS — Samantha Greenwood registered a hat trick Wednesday to lead Livermore Falls to a 5-2 victory over longtime rival Jay in MVC field hockey action.
Kathryn Ventrella added a goal and two assists, while a single tally by Erin Gats completed the scoring. Kaylee Morris made three saves for the Andies (10-1) in a solid effort.
The Tigers (4-7) received goals from Brittany DiPompo and Rachel Calden. Ashlee Quirrion turned back 14 shots in the cage for Jay.
Leavitt 2, MCI 0
TURNER — MyKayla McCann and Adrie Newton took turns scoring as Leavitt (7-1) dismissed MCI (3-6) with a 2-0 victory in a field hockey game Thursday.
McCann scored first on an Amanda Jordan assist in the first half. Newton topped Leavitt’s lead when she scored on a Bri DeGone and Holly Gallup feed.
The Hornets outshot MCI, 19-2, and Leavitt goalie Taylor Eells made two saves.
Girls’ soccer
Oak Hill 2, Camden Hills 1
WALES — Oak Hill scored a pair of quick goals just past the midway point of the first half and then held on from there to post a pivotal 2-1 upset win over Camden Hills in KVAC girls’ soccer action Wednesday.
Becca Belaire netted a goal in the 21st minute, and Jane Marston added another about two minutes later to stake the Raiders (5-4-0) to a 2-0 advantage, and Darby Beaulieu stopped eight shots to preserve the victory.
Melanie Vangel netted the Windjammers’ (7-2-0) lone goal early in the second half, but the visitors couldn’t get another through the Raiders’ defense.
Leavitt 2, MCI 0
PITTSFIELD — The Leavitt girl’s soccer squad revved up its offense in the second frame, scoring a pair of goals to record a 2-0 victory over MCI in more KVAC action Wednesday.
Bri Hammond scored on a penalty kick with 22:06 left in regulation, while Mariah Treadwell tallied just six minutes later to round out the scoring.
Kelly Pomerleau made four saves for the Hornets (8-2) to record the shutout, while Picabo Morrell turned back eight shots for MCI (1-7-1).
Dirigo 4, Madison 1
DIXFIELD — Natalie Bolduc led a three-goal rally in the second frame as Dirigo hustled to a 4-1 win over Madison in a MVC girls’ soccer tilt.
Bolduc gave the Cougars (6-2-1) a 1-0 lead in the first frame with an assist from Ambyr Wilson. Miranda Shurtleff and Paige Murphy also tallied for the Cougars to complete the scoring.
The Bulldogs (4-5) received their lone goal from Nathalie Michaud. Natasha Deroche made 12 saves for Dirigo, while Savanna Kandiko turned back 11 shots for Madison.
Lisbon 5, Carrabec 1
NORTH ANSON — Kayla Angelico scored a pair of goals and collected two assists as Lisbon landed on Carrabec with a 5-1 victory in a girls’ soccer game Thursday.
The Greyhounds (6-1-1) raced out to a 4-0 lead. Katie McManus, Tara Metzger and Brooke Lawrence all contributed with a goal each, with Chelsea Huston and Shauna Riordan picking up assists.
For the Cobras (3-4-1), Brook Lewis scored in the second half. Lisbon goalie Kyrstin Ramich made four saves.
Hebron 2, Hyde 2
BATH — The Hebron and Hyde girls’ soccer squads battled up and down the field Wednesday, going goal-for-goal for 45 minutes and came away with a 2-2 tie in a prep school matchup.
Sarah Markey and Chelsea Boucher scored for Hebron, while Cat Bouret netted both goals for Hyde. Olivia Brown made six saves for Hebron, while Mali Perry turned back five shots for Hyde.

Camden Hills 4, Oak Hill 0
CAMDEN HILLS — Yani Stancioff netted a pair of goals Wednesday as Camden Hills rolled to a 4-0 victory over Oak Hill in a KVAC boys’ soccer tilt.
Sam Predham and Andrew Flanagan also tallied for the Windjammers (8-0-1) to complete the scoring. Stancioff and Predham also contributed assists to the effort.
Ian Cushing needed only two saves to record the shutout.
Lisbon 7, Winthrop 0
LISBON — Ryan Fairbanks scored four goals to lead Lisbon to a 7-0 rout over Winthrop in a MVC boys’ soccer matchup Wednesday.
The Greyhounds (5-4) jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first frame and were never challenged. Brady Fenderson chipped in with two goals, while a single tally from Morgan Reeves completed the scoring. Keenan Grover also contributed with an assist and excellent defensive work.
Shane Tangquay needed only one save to notch the shutout. Cam MacMillan turned back five shots between the posts for the Ramblers (1-8).
Mountain Valley 4, Carrabec 0
RUMFORD — Andrew Phelps netted a pair of goals to lead Mountain Valley to a 4-0 rout over Carrabec in another MVC boys’ soccer matchup Wednesday.
Shawn Bennett and Austin Grover also tallied for the Cougars (2-7) to complete the scoring. Kyle Gauvin needed only two saves to notch the shutout.
Nick Brown turned back three shots between the posts for the Cobras (2-7).
Hebron 10, CVA 0
HEBRON — Sam Blanchet registered a hat trick Wednesday to lead Hebron to a 10-0 victory over Carrabasset Valley Academy (CVA) in a prep school boys’ soccer matchup.
Jake Stewart chipped in for Hebron (2-0) with two goals, while Sang Hoon Choo, Jock Cooperrider, Gerrad Kang and Alex Guay also tallied to complete the scoring.
Alex Berry needed only one save to preserve the shutout.
Livermore Falls 1, Mt. Abram 1
LIVERMORE FALLS — The Livermore Falls and Mt. Abram boy’s soccer squads battled up and down the field Wednesday and settled for a 1-1 tie when all was said and done.
The Andies (3-4-1) received a goal from Jacob Freeman, while Noah Zanella scored for the Roadrunners (3-1-4).
Ethan Hutchinson made six saves for Livermore, while Josh Beede turned aside eight shots in the cage for Mt. Abram.
