RANGELEY — Rangeley will host “A Mountain Home Companion,” with a cast of wacky and whimsical characters performing a la Garrison Keillor-style, Saturday, Sept. 25, at Lakeside Theater.

Proceeds from the planned annual event will go to support Rangeley’s new radio station, 90.5 FM (WRGY).

The show will be hosted by Barney Martin, a musician, storyteller and comedic entertainer, and a member of the Maine Hysterical Society. Jeannine Spiller will sing some of her favorite Patsy Cline tunes and the Coos Canyon Band will play throughout the evening.

In addition, The Oquossoc Ladies will sing; Mason Strunk and Uncle Al will play new and old tunes from the Jud Strunk band’s repertoire; and the Bachelor Brothers will share their stories.

The show will begin at 7 p.m. at the theater on Main Street in the downtown. For tickets, call the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce, 864-5434.
