Library benefit

WELD — A Hats ‘r Us dinner and dance will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Kawanhee Inn. Proceeds will benefit the Weld Public Library. Attendees should wear their favorite hat and/or costume to the event.

Cost is $25 a person for the dinner and dance or $20 a person for dinner only. Tickets may be purchased at the Kawanhee Inn, Weld Public Library, Weld General Store, Skoolhouse Variety, Morning Glory Bakery, Town Office or Mt. Blue Trading Post. Reservations must be made by Oct. 5.

Public supper

JAY — A public supper will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at the North Jay Grange 10. The menu will include baked beans, casseroles, salads, coleslaw, desserts and beverages.

Cost for adults is $7; children 10 and under, $3. There will be musical entertainment with Bill Scott. For more information, call 645-2910, 645-4628 or 645-2217.

Square dance

WILTON — Friendship Squares will host a mainstream/plus square dance from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at the Cushing School.

The caller will be Lee Kennedy and the cuer will be Carol Stewart. All are welcome, including those who wish to come and just observe.
