I was very disappointed in the front page of the Sun Journal on Labor Day, Sept. 6.

Although the article on paramedics was cute, where was the article about the history of laborers in this area? Where were any stories about the unsung heroes of today — the people who make our lives so much more pleasant and we no longer notice they are there?

Generally such people labor for low wages and are never thanked.
