GARDINER, Maine (AP) — Mainers with insurance questions will be able to get some answers at a public session this week.

The Bureau of Insurance will conduct a consumer outreach session in Waterville on Thursday.

The session, to assist people with insurance cases and raise awareness about the bureau’s services, is part of a summer outreach initiative conducted by insurance experts from the bureau.

Insurance Superintendent Mila Kofman says people unable to attend can obtain insurance information and help by visiting the bureau’s offices in Gardiner, going online to www.maine.gov/insurance, or calling the bureau’s toll-free number 1-800-300-5000.
