LEWISTON — The Western Maine Labor Council is holding its fourth annual Labor Day barbeque Monday from 1-3 p.m. at the IBEW 567 Union Hall at 238 Goddard Road.
More than 350 people are expected at the free event, which will celebrate working people. The menu will feature locally raised hamburgers and hot dogs from area farms, fried turkey, fresh corn and ice cream and other desserts.
Entertainment will include live music and a kids tent, featuring face-painting, balloon art and local magician The Great Stephan.
Proceeds from a fund-raiser will go to the Maine Fair Trade Campaign.
