Outlook: The Blue Devils are looking to improve on last year’s showing. The boys, who finished sixth in the KVAC and fifthin Eastern A, hope to compete for both titles with Ibrahim, who is building off a strong finish to the 2009 season, and Lavertu, who could be on the verge of being a top 15 runner. The girls’ goal is to make the state meet, and if they can build a pack behind Cour-Menendez and Butler, they’ll have a shot.
Coach’s comment:
“The girls really want to qualify for the state meet this year. They’re going to have to work hard for it. Top three in the KVAC and regionals is reasonable for the boys..” — Coach Jamerson Crowley.
