Coach: Nate Danforth (third year)

Last year’s record: 1-7

Returning players: Seniors — Chris Priest (TE/SS), Matt Farnum (TE/FS), Danny Taylor (FL/CB), Andy Ripley (TB/CB).

Key losses: Nate Dubois (RB/DB), Jake Hall (RB/SS), Matt Verrier (QB), Eli Dolloff (Slot/DE), Jake Allen (G/NT).

Promising newcomers: Seniors — Zack Moore (FB), Jon Flanders (TB/DE); Junior — Logan Sanborn (QB/CB); Sophomore — Jordan Croteau (FB/ILB).

Outlook: The Vikings are switching to the I-formation this season in hopes of creating more of a smashmouth style of offense to match their physical defense, but they will need someone to emerge in the unsettled tailback spot. Moore, a 290-pound converted lineman, could split time at fullback with Croteau if he is conditioned enough. Sanborn will also run from the QB spot. Former head coach Bob Austin is back coaching the young offensive line.

Coach’s comment: “We’ve got some size, but we’re inexperienced. Our goal is to make the playoffs.” — Coach Nate Danforth
