Family reunion
HARTFORD — The Gammon-Davis-Richmond family reunion will be held Sunday, Aug. 22, at Roger Gammon’s camp on Gurney Hill Road. Family members may arrive any time after 10 a.m. and bring a potluck item to share at noon.

Bridge play
OXFORD — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met on Aug. 13 at the Oxford Community Center with seven full tables. The North/South winners were: first in A: Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; second, Richard Balian and Mike Quinn; first in B, Marilyn and Bob Canton; second, Bill Tedford and Dave Kallander.
The East/West winners were: first, Cindy Kirsccher and Sue Farnum; second, Nancy Farmer and Steve Heiss; tied for third/fourth, Lucille Theriault and David Lock with Claire Lyons and Cynthia Clifford. New players are welcome and a partner is guaranteed.
Texas hold ’em
NORWAY — Responsible Pet Care will sponsor a Texas hold ’em tournament on Saturday, Sept. 11, at Charlie’s Entertainment Center, 246 Main St. There is a $55 entry fee. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and the tournament will run from 1 to 5 p.m.
Tickets are available at the Spare Closet Revisited, 446 Main St., 743-3891; Responsible Pet Care, 132 Waterford Road, 743-8679; and at Charlie’s Entertainment Center, 890-2601. There will be a cash bar and food and refreshments will be available.
Society meeting
OXFORD — The Oxford Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at the Kaye House Museum on Pleasant Street. There will be a potluck dinner and those attending should bring something to share for dinner. Beverages and desserts will be provided.
