NAPLES — A Naples man remained behind bars Tuesday night following an arrest last week on drug trafficking charges.

Michael Guiliani, 38, is being held at the Cumberland County Jail on $50,000 bond. He was charged Thursday with two counts of drug trafficking and a probation hold.

Also arrested was Guiliani’s wife, Sherene Guiliani, 22, who was charged on a probation hold. She has since been released.

Kevin Cashman, supervisory special agent with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency in Cumberland County, said that the Guilianis are currently under investigation by his agency, but declined to release further details about the case.

Following their arrest, Cashman said that the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the couple’s rental home, located at 98 Sand Road.
