OXFORD — An official with the state Fire Marshal’s Office said Thursday that the second fire to hit a Jenny Lane home this month was arson.
Sgt. Joel Davis said investigators ruled the blaze an arson after determining that an “intentional human element” was involved. The single-story house at 67 Jenny Lane was damaged by an arson fire on June 4, and destroyed by a second fire on Wednesday.
The building belonged to Barry and Carol Laufer, who were not at home at the time of the blaze. The couple was preparing to close on a sale of the house on the day of the fire.
