BRYANT POND — The Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center, in partnership with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, will host the fifth annual Youth Field Day on Saturday, June 5. Admission is free. The event will be held rain or shine.
Lunch will be available for a charge, or visitors may bring their own. This year, the Maine Bowhunters will run the archery range, and the rifle and shotgun ranges will also be open. Master Falconer Larry Barnes will be on hand to talk about falconry. Other activities will include paddling, fly-tying, fishing, a Maine Guide skills demonstration and a primitive skills workshop.
Registered Maine Guides, certified instructors and other outdoor professionals will lead each station. Activities will be appropriate for children ages 6 and over, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Preregistration is recommended but not required.
