Like many others, I have been studying the candidates for governor to learn of their backgrounds and stances on the many issues concerning us today. I am impressed with candidate Paul LePage’s goals. Like many people, he believes, and I quote from his website, “Fiscal responsibility starts and ends with the understanding that taxpayers have a right to keep as much of their hard-earned money as possible — not that government has the right to collect as much money as it thinks it needs.”
That is refreshing to hear from a politician. That is because LePage is a common man with a common sense approach. He believes there should be less government-mandated involvement in people’s lives. He also respects life at all levels.
Let’s vote out the old and stale at all levels and start fresh. Now.
