Coach: Bill County (10th year)

Last year’s record: 8-2 (lost in PTC semifinals)

Returning letter winners: Seniors — Ronnie Turner (QB/CB), Peter Blais (WR/DB), Andy Pulk (TB/DE), Kris Gagne (G/DL), Monte Scott (T/DL) Nick Weekes (WR/DB), Eddie Chan (OL/DL), Brady Esty (OL/DL), Eddie Chan (OL/DL), Tyler Roy (DE), Tyler Nunez (LB); Juniors —  Cody Dussault (FB/MLB), Jeff Keene (TB/SS), Ben Wigant (G/LB), Elliott Chicoine (DL).

Key losses: Wes Myers (RB/DB), Tyler Lussier (WR/LB), Jacob Poisson (LB), Joe Bussiere (OL/LB), Chuck Faletra (WR/DB).

Promising newcomers: Junior — Seth Mason (CB); Sophomore — Jeff Turcotte (TB/slot), Matt Therrien (slot/CB).

Outlook: The Blue Devils won’t intimidate many opponents with their size, but their speed and depth could wear a lot of them down. Usually known for their running game, they will go to the air more this season with Turner, one of the top QBs in the state. Weekes will be one of his top targets. Moving the ball on the ground isn’t out of the question, though. Pulk and Keene are two speedy tailbacks who will be following a veteran line led by Gagne, Scott and Wigant. The secondary is inexperienced, but the front seven is solid, with six defensive linemen to rotate in and out.

Coach’s comment:

“We’re not as big as some of the teams we’re going to see. I think we’re fairly quick, so we’re going to have to use that to our advantage.” — Coach Bill County
