TURNER — The fall brochure of the Upper Androscoggin Collaborative of Adult and Community Education is available for SAD 36 and SAD 52. There are many new classes and new career-focused courses. Returning favorites like rug braiding and basket weaving are featured. The new offerings include organic cheese-making, woodcarving and zumba.

Business courses range from writing a cover letter to creating a small business plan to learning how to weld, save money, earn money and invest. Many of the classes start early in September.

A familiar face has taken on a new role at the Adult Education Center in Turner. Razell Ward was recently named the full-time adult education director for the Turner campus.

Those wishing may browse, register and pay for courses online by logging onto maineadulted.org, type in a zip code and then locate any program’s Web site. Residents may also call SAD 52 Adult Ed at 225-3478 or register by mail.
