While reading the editorial about Rumford politics (May 24), I was transported back to the bad old days of Steve Eldridge, Jim Thibodeau, Jolene Lovejoy, Greg Buccina and company.
How peaceful it has been of late, with the intelligence and expertise of Len Greaney in the town manager’s chair and a board of selectmen doing the town’s business without power trips, personal attacks and emergencies popping up constantly.
The appointment of Carlo Puiia as town manager is brilliant. Town residents can look forward to many more years of quality work from a man who is highly qualified, motivated and who loves his town.
The town of Rumford is doing just fine, thank you, without the editorial board’s nitpicking. How are things in your backyard?
Diana K. Pratt, Rumford
