A candidate for New Gloucester selectman has emerged that would generate an added dimension to the board: Joshua McHenry. A priority high on his list is to attempt to improve the responsiveness of the board to citizen requests and initiatives.
As an assistant retail merchandiser for L.L. Bean, McHenry is accustomed to operating within a team framework. He is presently finishing up his one-year term on the New Gloucester Planning Board where he has learned how the town’s planning process functions. This spring, he joined the MSAD 15 Budget Advisory Committee, in which he offered fiscally-responsible suggestions that were valuable in the development of the district’s annual budget.
On June 9, I’m hoping that New Gloucester voters will join me in supporting Joshua McHenry for selectman, who is running on a platform of community service, governmental openness and reasoned problem solving.
