The annual concert in which the students of the Edward Little High School of Auburn and the Lewiston High School join forces is looked forward to by a large number of people each year. It is always well attended and is always a happy occasion. The concert at City Hall last evening was well up to the usual high standard. Under the leadership of Prof. N. L. Mower, supervisor of music in the Auburn public schools, and Prof. G. W. Horne, who holds the same position in Lewiston, the young people have had careful training as their work last evening showed.

Twelve-year-old Alphonse “Butch” Charron of 17 Stanley St., Lewiston, suffered a fracture of his right leg yesterday while playing baseball with friends in a North Temple Street lot.
A couple of years ago the youngster broke the same leg when he plowed into a tree stump while sliding.
The second fracture took place yesterday as “Butch” slid into second base. He was treated at Central Maine General Hospital, then taken home to recuperate.
He was feeling “punk” last night because he’ll be missing this year’s baseball season. He is the son of Lewiston Fire Pvt. and Mrs. William A. Charron.

Thursday’s meeting of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will feature a balloon zoo show aimed at ages 1 to 97.
Ed Morris will perform his balloon zoo side show, a fast moving, audience-participation show based on a character out of American history, the Pitchman.
The show is a combination of old-time medicine pitch, magic show and balloon sculpturing. All children present will receive a free balloon or balloon animal to take home.
Rotary members are invited to bring their children, grandchildren or neighbor’s kids.
